The mission of the Board of Evangelism is to provide members and visitors with opportunities to spread the news about God’s love through their words and deeds.  Welcoming and reaching out to others are some of the many ways to achieve our Peace Lutheran Church mission to Share Christ, Serve Community, Grow Disciples.

Make visitors and members feel welcome.  This is accomplished by many volunteers and members of all Boards of Peace Church’s family.

♦ Welcome Center. Volunteers provide helpful information about Peace ministries and events, give directions, answer phones, and provide a wide range of acts of kindness.

♦ Greeters.  Each Sunday volunteer members of our team of Greeters stand at the main entrance before each service to welcome all who enter. All members are encouraged to also greet and welcome new as well as familiar faces.

♦ Name Tags are provided by the church office to all members and by request to regular visitors.

♦ I Worshiped Today Sheets are used to gather information from members and visitors.

♦ Repeat visitors are presented with special “visitor welcome bags” that contain information about Peace Church and other items chosen specifically of interest to the visitors.

♦ New Member Orientation and Reception.  New members are introduced to church leaders, receive materials, and view a DVD about Peace Church and its’ ministries prior to joining the church.

♦ Promote Peace’s unique character and ministries

♦ Participate in Community activities, such as hosting refreshments for the Beavercreek Schools Art Fest, local events and festivals.

♦ Manage advertising dollars, such as placing ads in/on school-related publications, by assisting with the payment of VBS T-shirts, and, utilizing our church sign and lawn banner signs for publicizing special events.

♦ Host special events, such as family focused programs, women’s retreats, and special musical performances.

Serve Peace members and people in the community through various ministries.
