To Whom it May Concern,

The Beavercreek Camp Noah, which was scheduled for March 2020, was postponed due the pandemic. We are tentatively looking at doing this Beavercreek Camp Noah next year 2021, possibly again during spring break or over summer. We will let everyone know what our plan are for Camp Noah at Peace hopefully in late fall.

Our Camp Noah leadership team for the Miami Valley will be meeting with LSS of MN Camp Noah staff on May 1st to discuss the remainder of the camps this summer. Please note that they too might be postponed as we want to ensure the safety of the children in our care as well as our volunteers. If these camps are postponed for this summer we will be looking toward next summer for the remaining 4 camps.

After being in pandemic – shelter in place – mode for weeks now, what we know is that Camp Noah will be needed more than ever. These camps remain a vital resource for our children in the rebuilding of our community because they help children process disaster and gain resiliency skills. There were large groups of as already vulnerable populations in the Miami Valley who were affects by the Tornadoes and some of these same groups were affected by the Shooting in August 2019 and now again are being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and the shelter in place orders which have had economic effects of unemployment and subsequent food instability throughout the Miami Valley.

We have received at total of just over $70,000 in the support of Camp Noah and we are working with LSS-MN, Camp Noah to ensure that with these donations, we are able to bring Camp Noah to the Miami Valley.

We continue to be excited about bringing Camp Noah to the Miami Valley but we want to be able to ensure the safety of children and volunteers. Please continue to watch for more information as we learn from Governor Mike DeWine how we best proceed this summer.

Thank you for your continued interest in and support of Camp Noah.
