Worship Service Participants (training provided)
♦ Acolytes – middle school students. Carry candles in processional and recessional of 8:15 and 10:45 services. Assist with communion.
♦ Cross-bearers – high school students. Carry the cross in processional and recessional of 8:15 and 10:45 services. Assist with communion.
♦ Communion Assistants – serve communion using the intinction method at Saturday 5:15 services.
♦ Assisting ministers – lay members who assist the pastors during 8:15 and 10:45 Sunday services, including prayers and communion.
♦ Readers – give the scripture readings and lead the prayer of the day. Readings are provided. All services.
♦ Greeters - Welcome worshippers as they enter the church.
Behind the Scenes
♦ Liturgical Arts - Help with the designing, preparation, and creating of banners and decorations used during the worship services and church seasons.
♦ Ushers – teams greet worshipers, collect offering, provide attendance numbers, and assist in making worship a positive experience.
♦ Counters – teams work on a rotating schedule to count week-end offerings, prepare bank deposit, and take deposit to the bank.
♦ Altar Guild – volunteers maintain altar area of the sanctuary, change paraments to reflect church seasons, prepare communion.
♦ A/V operators – two-person teams which run audio and video equipment for each service.
♦ Nursery workers – teams of caregivers provide child care for all regular and special services.
